The staff from reception, housekeeping, F&B crew, and security are excellent. They are friendly and polite and always offer assistance whenever we need help. Special shout out to cafe crew Amunal. He is excellent when serving guests, with thoughtfulness and sensitivity. In addition, the hotel provides free daily tea reception at the cafe. This is a pleasant surprise for us. The cafe has a relaxing and cosy ambience that it provides a great space for us to chill and rest after our outdoor activities. We also just found out that the hotel provides self-service laundry, which the charges are very affordable. The laundry place is accessible and clean. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant and relaxing. We will come again and recommend others to book Journal Hotel.

Everything. Booked without knowing anything. Nice room, breakfast is a bit basic but there's so much food in the city it's all you need to get you going. They serves coffe and snacks at 3pm for residents which is a nice touch but again, basic. Ask for eggs, fried scrambled Etc, they're cooked to order out of sight in the kitchen. Dinning room staff will look after you. If you stay there be sure to give donny the hotel cat a stroke, he's cute. A nice touch as a smoker, there's a small veranda out front where you can sit and people watch as you smoke. Would certainly stay there again. The staff I met from the cleaners, reception and security all we so kind and helpful. The pool is small but plenty good enough for a cool off while you enjoy the view.

The Kuala Lumpur Journal is a fantastic hotel situated right in the heart of the Bukit Bintang district, it’s excellent location puts it amongst several great restaurants and live music within a short walking distance, the Lot 10 shopping mall is also close by with several well known brands. The staff at the hotel are really helpful and friendly and put our needs as a priority to make sure we were as comfortable as possible, the hotel offered refreshments on our arrival and an all you can eat breakfast buffet each morning. There was also Laundry in the lower section of the hotel which was great quality and included a washer and dryer with no detergent needed to use, it was not expensive and done a great job on cleaning our clothes.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was caring and attentive, always smiling at the reception — I really appreciate that. Our room was excellent: clean, fresh-smelling, and well-maintained. Housekeeping was done daily, with fresh towels and bottled water provided. The bathroom was spacious, and we had a beautiful view from our room. We slept well, and I also enjoyed using the in-room Bluetooth speaker. Breakfast was decent, nothing extraordinary but good enough. A special mention to their resident cat, Donni — such a sweet and affectionate little host! We didn’t use many of the hotel’s facilities, so I can't comment on those. Overall, a very positive experience.

Smaller hotel but located close to street food markets, hop on hop off bus depot, MRT station and restaurants. Good clean rooms ( not huge ) with walk in shower and friendly, professional staff. Small pool and bar on 11th floor, self service laundry, complimentary juice replaced daily and free nibbles every afternoon in the -lobby as well as a good breakfast. Our room was upgraded free of charge to the 8th floors with city views to Patronas towers. We couldn’t secure late checkout until the morning we departed so just booked the room for extra night but at discounted rate so no problem. Some construction work close by definitely not noisy.
